Intermedia Arts a multidisciplinary center dedicated to engaging the power of the arts in addressing social and human issues, and to supporting the work of contemporary artists. Intermedia supports culturally diverse, regional artists who create artistically, socially, and politically challenging art. Intermedia Arts acts as a focal point for collaborative efforts among artists and organizations. Twin Cities LISC is a program area of The Local Initiatives Support Corporation, a nonprofit intermediary that channels financial and technical support to community development corporations (CDCs) throughout the country. The Twin Cities local office was opened in 1988, and has worked for over a decade to revitalize struggling communities in and around Minneapolis and St. Paul.
